I bought this gift for my father, as he is a mariner. Although I didn’t expect him to utilize it as it’s somewhat fancy. He was very impressed by it and then that was it. It’s good for that I guess. Although to actually utilize the compass aspect of it wouldn’t be efficient, it’s too fancy. It’s more like something you’d have on your desk.
