Simple to setup. The manual describes everything the unit will do.
I used it to turn a 19″ widescreen computer monitor into a kitchen cabinet mounted TV monitor. The remote is handy for that application.
I would like to have seen an audio volume control on the remote. Other than that, I am happy.

Using this product and a SanDisk SDV-1A Digital Photo Viewer you can output a flashcard to a LCD Monitor and have a digital picture frame. Slide degradation of the image converting from Video to VGA, but nothing too bad.

We use this device to switch between laptop, vcr and a dvd player driving
a projector for our church services. The only downside is a brief note on the screen indicating the resolution when selecting a new source.
It would be nice if that were made optional.

I’m using this product to connect a PS2 (S-video output) to an old 21″ Trinitron monitor in 1024×768 mode, and it works great (along with a good set of computer speakers for sound). The picture quality is excellent. Everthing works exactly as you’d expect. I have not yet needed to try out the VGA pass-through capability, or the remote. Note that another review mentioned component input, which is not true. Only S-Video and single-line RCA video input are supported.
